So, here's what is irritating...

I spent the majority of my life being a very average size girl. In high school I was a size 9, I think. I had the baby, and lost all of my baby weight plus about 15 lbs. My norm used to be around 130, whereas now I am sitting comfortably around 117. I definitely feel better about myself and that sort of thing. So, then I go to buy a dress for the Bishop wedding coming up in October. I found a great dress last night that was perfect and even super cheap that was a size 5. It fit perfectly in the hips, but was huge in the torso and chest. HUGE! Then I found one online last night that was even cheaper and cuter, so I went and found it today. I tried on the 3. It was tight in the butt and was still too big in the chest and shoulders. The 5 was a little snug around the butt (but would have worked) and the top looked like a 4 year old trying on her mommy's clothes. It was horrible. Anyhoo, I bought a dress that I'm not in love with, but at least it fits. I am just irritated to no end. I try to be healthy and eat right and I can't find clothes to fit me. I think it's the same for overweight women; you just want to find clothes that you're comfortable in and that fit. Why is that so hard?? So, what I've figured out is I have ghetto booty, a petite waist, and the chest of a 12 year old boy. It's so annoying knowing if I put on 30 or 40 pounds I would have boobs to go in those dresses. Grrr......

On a more serious note, I am so in awe of the things God is doing right now and all he has in the works! We should all pray without limits or boundaries. God can do anything and through him so can you!

  1. Maybe a tailor could fix the top of your dress. My grandma sews and so do a lot of the ladies at church.

On another note, I'm having so much fun watching God work!!

  2. Well, I decided to get one that fit in the top and was not as form fitting at the bottom. I was planning on Mat's grandma taking it in for me, but I think it was too big and would have looked funny. I hope the one I got works!

  3. I can relate... kinda (Im definately not as think as you) but I have a size 8 waist and a size 12 hips and thighs... I can never find jeans that fit perfect. Maybe try looking for 2 piece dresses or skirts and tops. That way you can mix and match sizes.

  4. Danielle, I've always had a small waist and bigger hips, so I understand totally. I always had that problem where waist of my jeans were huge and then they'd be super tight around my thighs and hips. I'm definitely a seperates kind of girl, but you know sometimes you want to depart from your norm...
